I had the heater on to make the studio nice and cozy. I laid all of my props out in a line, and waited.
I waited for this precious baby boy to come through my studio door with his family.
As mom and dad walked in my studio, Baby Boy J looked relaxed. Snuggled warmly in his carrier and sleeping soundly, I just knew it was going to be a good session.
And it was absolutely nothing less than the best newborn session I have ever had. Baby Boy J was the absolute best newborn. He was warm and comfy the entire time, sleeping soundly, making it easy to change scenery. We got to use many different props, swaddle in different colored swaddles, and pose him in different ways.
Mom and dad liked our gray and neutral colored props best. They complimented Baby Boy J's calm nature.
Through close-ups, swaddles, and different props. Baby Boy J slept calmly the entire time. As a newborn photographer, he was an absolute dream!
Have you ever wondered why neutral colors are used for newborn sessions?
Neutral colors are muted and calming to the eye. They don't jump off the screen, but rather give all of the attention to the subject- the baby!
This is why we used neutral colors for Baby Boy J.
It is also important to note that neutral colors are easy to match. This means that if family wants to jump in the picture. It makes it that much easier to match everyone in the photo!
